The coiled lanyard was developed in Northern Ireland for Police use and is now used widely by Police and Military personnel across the world. The special DuPont™ Kevlar® woven fiber coil replaces the old style side arm rope lanyard that can not be used with overt body armour. In addition to preventing loss coiled lanyards are also invaluable where equipment such as cameras, hand held navigation, binoculars, CS, Pava, Pepper and Bite Back Spray holders are used and loss would have implications.
The lanyard has been NATO approved and has operationally proven in all climates with services in Falklands, Bosnia, Iraq and Afghanistan to name a few. The lanyard also has many real world applications such as parachuting, canoeing, high level construction and mountaineering.
